Got a Toothache? You May Need a Root Canal

Dr. Eric Weinstein explains how to know whether or not you need emergency root canal therapy.

Hi, it’s Dr. Eric Weinstein from Shine Dental Associates Of The North Shore, located at 400 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. I’ve been practicing many years and one of the popular questions that comes up many times in dental visits is “how do I know if I need a root canal?”

Well there are many symptoms that you can tell if a patient needs a root canal. Most patients complain about hot sensitivity, cold sensitivity, pressure when they’re biting, pain, maybe a little bit of swelling.

We can take a simple X-ray whether it’s in the mouth or outside the mouth. We can diagnose the X-ray with your symptoms to see if a root canal is necessary. And if so, it can be done quick and easy, most of the time in one visit. We have specialists on staff if it’s necessary as well.

We accept your insurance for your services, we have interest free financing available as well. We’re open seven days a week. We take dental emergencies, we take scheduled emergencies, walk-in emergencies, we’re here to help you.

If you’re having a problem or if you have any questions about root canal or any other of our services, please give us a call at 516-348-8500 and we’ll be happy to help you.
