Dr. Eric Weinstein, D.D.S: Restorative & Cosmetic Dentist
The son of a 50-year veteran in the field of dentistry, Eric Weinstein, D.D.S., P.C. had a passion for dentistry that began in his early childhood. He grew up in North Valley Stream and graduated from a three-year program at Adelphi University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He attended New York University College of Dentistry and graduated top of his class in 1991. He furthered his education in a post-doctorate general practice residency program at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where he served as Chief Dental Resident until 1993.
Dr. Weinstein first entered private practice in Bayside and Valley Stream and with his father for a year. He went on to open Island Dental Associates at 600 Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead and his practice grew from two chairs to nine chairs with a full-service, in-house dental laboratory.With the expansion of his dental practice he moved into his current state-of-the-art location across the street at 639 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square. Drawing on the vast knowledge he attained during numerous hours of continuing education, he established a patient-centered practice that incorporates the latest technology and most current techniques in dental care. Working together with his Board-Certified Periodontist and his Orthodontist, Dr. Weinstein is proud to offer patients complete dental care under one roof.
In 2011, after 20 years in private practice, he and his two partners opened Shine Dental Associates of the North Shore, located at 400 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. The establishment of this upscale practice fulfilled his dream to open an office in the style of a posh Manhattan hotel. His attention to detail and knowledge of interior design greatly contributed to the creation of a luxurious masterpiece in the North Shore of Long Island.
Dr. Weinstein’s participation in many dental societies, his thirst for advancing his dental career, and his genuine chair-side manner make him an outstanding clinician and exceptional member of the dental community. He maintains his attending position as part of the medical staff at North Shore University Hospital at Franklin Medical Center in Franklin Square, NY.
His compassion for elderly and homebound individuals prompted Dr. Weinstein to establish the Visiting Dental Care of New York division of his practice, which provides patients with dental care in their homes. He visits hospitals, extended care facilities, residences, and nursing homes to provide all types of dental services at the convenience of his patients and their caregivers.
Dr. Weinstein’s dedicated staff has been with him since he first began in private practice, and they support his endeavors to create smiles that last a lifetime and to make it affordable for patients to receive the care they want and deserve.
Dr. Weinstein resides on the North Shore of Long Island with his three children and his wife of 13 years who is a dental hygienist who graduated valedictorian of her class.
Dr. Vikas Mittle, D.D.S: Periodontist
Dr. Vikas Mittle graduated from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and furthered his education at the niversity of Maryland Periodontal Specialty Program. Upon completion of his studies at the University of Maryland, he became Board-Certified in Periodontics.
Dr. Mittle recognizes that every patient’s case is unique and he strives to provide personalized, thorough treatment in a relaxed, patient-centric atmosphere. His gentle, confident approach makes the patient feel comfortable knowing they are receiving the best treatment in dentistry. He strongly believes in the mouth-body relationship and treats not only oral health but overall body health. Open communication is very important to Dr. Mittle. He continually corresponds with restorative dentist to optimize each patient’s treatment plan and treatment. Dr. Mittle is excited to play a role in improving each patient’s dental health and to maintain that health so the recurrence doesn’t happen again.
Dr. Mittle utilizes the latest technological advances in dentistry to treat all phases of periodontal disease and performs surgical procedures such as implants, bone grafting, crown lengthening, and extractions. He also specializes in performing efficient, non-surgical, non-invasive procedures such as root planning and scaling and antibiotic therapy. Inspired by his passion for rendering treatment with the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Mittle relentlessly pursues continuing education classes.

On a personal note, Dr. Mittle is married and lives with his wife on Long Island’s North Shore. He is very active in the community. Dr. Mittle is an active sports enthusiast, playing tennis, baseball and football. You can probably find him enjoying the night watching a show in the city or exploring new restaurants. Furthermore, he loves to relax with his wife by hiking in the Adirondacks or “chilling” out in a sauna getting a massage.
Daniella Sansotta, RDH
Daniella Sansotta, RDH, graduated of the Farmingdale State College School of Dental Hygiene, where she obtained her license to practice dental hygiene, and went on to complete the Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene program. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, as well as Nassau County Dental Hygiene Association.
While completing her studies in the BSDH program at Farmingdale, Daniella completed her practicum by working with a reputable pharmaceutical manufacturer in the field of dental sales. This experience has enlightened Daniella to diversify her career within the profession of dental hygiene. While obtaining her license she completed her rotations at various healthcare facilities and hospitals on Long Island including LIJ Schneiders children hospital, Stony Brook Dental Clinic, and North Port’s VA clinic. Given that Daniella has a gift when it comes to putting children and special needs patients at ease in the dental chair, it is no wonder that she particularly enjoyed her experience at Schneider’s.
At Shine, Daniella aims to build lasting relationships with her patients through a healthy dose of social interaction mixed with oral health education. Aside from ensuring that her patients’ mouths are as healthy as possible, Daniella’s passion is her family and friends.
Daniella enjoys a great workout, and is an avid beach-goer (you can catch her at TOBAY) in the summer months. She strives to lead a healthy and hygienic lifestyle, and promotes such values to her patients, family, and friends.
Dr. Kinjel Gatha, D.D.S.
Dr. Kinjel Gatha was born in New Jersey, but at a young age she moved to Fort Worth, TX and became a true Texan at heart. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Arlington where she received her degree in Biology.
After college Dr. Gatha moved back to the northeast and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from New York University College of Dentistry. She went on to complete a residency training in general dentistry at Northshore University Hospital, training with many experts in the field in all aspects of dentistry, which serves her well in her practice now.
During residency, she was also able to further her interest in pediatric dentistry by doing an internship at The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical center.
Dr Gatha has worked with the Batey Relief Alliance and has gone on missions in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and India to serve under privileged communities.
Dr Gatha is an avid supporter of continuing education and has taken numerous courses in subjects such as pediatrics, endodontics, implantology, and was enrolled in a 2 year orthodontics course.
In her spare time she enjoys cooking, watching movies, and is a huge Dallas Cowboys Fan.
More than anything, Dr Gatha strives to create a relaxing atmosphere where patients feel comfortable and can look forward to a beautiful smile
Dr. Gregory Ray
Dr. Ray was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He studied undergrad at the University of Arizona. Dr. Ray received his dental degree from the University of the Pacific. After graduating dental school he worked for and was mentored by one of the best cosmetic dentists in Northern California. He has successfully transformed many smiles. Dr. Ray then owned and operated his own dental practice in San Diego, California. Dr. Ray was honored as one of the best dentists in San Diego by San Diego Magazine for the last 8 years. Dr. Ray is a trainer in dental technology for Sirona, and a product evaluator for Clinicians Report. Dr. Ray sold his San Diego practice in 2016 and decided to come to New York for a new adventure. He enjoys standup Paddle boarding, snowboarding, food, and travel.
Dr. Victoria Rubinoff earned her doctorate degree from NYU College of dentistry in 2005. Her childhood dream from the age of six was to become a surgeon and she fulfilled her goal when she further pursued her dental education and training by completing advanced implant program directed by Dr. John Minichetti, a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology.
Inevitably she also became a member of a prestigious society named American Academy of Implant Dentistry and just a few months away from becoming a Fellow of the Academy . This means she is always on the cutting edge of implant dentistry . Her journey did not stop at that .
Her continuous passion for refined skills and advanced education landed her at the honorary Kois Center where she is currently a member. It’s is an intense program with a curriculum built upon by Dr. John Kois’s mission statement: “Enabling motivated dentists to achieve extraordinary levels, expanding both knowledge and application skills in restorative dentistry .”
Being a member of such society allows access to continuous research and newest innovative protocols. Hence her patients are always handled with the optimum care and technology available .
Dr Rubinoff’s natural artistic skills make every patient’s treatment results become a craftsmanship of one and only kind. She customizes every plan and molds the outcome based on the patient needs and long term success. She is very kind and attentive.
Dr. Rubinoff has a very delicate touch and treats the human body with respect. Everything and anything she puts her mind to becomes a work of art . Her main goal is to listen to the patients’ needs and deliver predictable and successful results. Patients always appreciate the options that they choose when they listen to her genuine advice.
Dr. Rubinoff also has extensive knowledge and training in adult and children’s orthodontics and orthotic appliances, snoring and grinding, Invisalign, TMD, cosmetics, KOR whitening, digital smile design, and how to transition the patient from dentures or missing teeth to a non-removable option i.e “teeth in one day “.
As a single parent of three boys and a dedicated professional her talents exceed the average norms. She is able to exercise her duties as a parent and lead a reputable and a successful career with continuous updated education.

Ralph Rega, CDT
Ralph Rega graduated from Nassau Technological Center in 1984 as a Dental Technician. He went on to Nassau Community College to obtain his degree in Small Business Management and opened his own Dental Laboratory in 1987. In 1997 he became a Certified Dental Technician (CDT) specializing in ceramics. Ralph served as an in house technician for eight years in West Babylon providing patients with the dental restorations of the highest aesthetic value. Ralph is the current President of the Long Island Dental Laboratory Association and is the Chairman of the Education Committee.
Ralph has always been passionate about Dental Technology and always strives to provide beautiful and functional dental restorations. Ralph knows having a dental technician on staff is the best way to provide the highest quality of dentistry.
Ralph is a dedicated family man who is married for 27 years living on Long Island with his wife and 2 grown sons. On the weekend you can always catch him playing the drums and singing with a local band.
